Agusto Cego
"Agusto Cego" born Agostinho Depina in the northern part of the Island of Fogo in a small area called Bobosso.
He was born seeing, and at age four began to go blind. By the time he was 14, he was completely blind. Along the way he started to learn how to play music when he was 8 and started playing at parties and local happenings very young to help support the household. He began attending the church of Nazarene where he learned how to play many instruments.In addition,he has represented our country in many parts of the world. He is especially known for his extra abilities with the violins, including the ones he has invented. Today HE PLAYS OVER 17 INSTRUMENTS, HE IS A COMPOSER, A WRITER, A VOCALIST,AND AN INVENTOR OF STRING INSTRUMENTS.
He has two CD's to his credit, and the last one is titled "Borta Borta" his first titled Bobosso.
